Sports play a very impotant role in the lives of many of our students and families. We're proud to offer a great deal of sports for students to choose from within a small school environment, and we've been deeply blessed by the incredible commitment of our volunteer coaches, without whom none of this would be possible.
In the fall, we offer girls' volleyball on campus and boys' football through a combined team of several Catholic schools called Central Catholic. In the winter, basketball is a major sport for both boys and girls, with significant participation on campus from all grades. In the spring, depending on interest, we offer soccer, track, and softball. Generally, all sports are offered through the CYO (Catholic Youth Organization) of Fort Wayne and are open to students in grades 5-8. Some sports offer earlier training programs in grades 3-4.
Our athletic board is committed to all children gaining confidence and playing time, with the opportunity to learn new skills and enjoy the love of the game. Competition increases in the 7th and 8th grades where athletes prepare for the high school level. We play numerous other schools within the CYO framework and offer great opportunities for our children to grow in their faith, confidence, and overall well-being through our three-season athletic offerings.
Our school offers a number clubs and activities for many grades, with a particular focus on grades 3-8. These range in purpose from service, to growing in faith, to drama/theatre, to intellectual and academic skills, etc. Clubs with ongoing meetings include our Drama club, student choirs, to name a few.
